Spirit Fest
Please join us for our Annual Spirit Fest on Friday, November 14th, 2008 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
As a reminder, the cheerleaders should arrive no later than 6:00 pm for set up.
This is a fun event full of surprises, so we hope to see you there!

11/15/2008:
End of Season Party on November 15th
Our end of season party will be held on Saturday, November 15th from 7:00 - 10:00 pm at the Pheasantland Roller Rink.
Please be sure to thank the Merkel Family for allowing us to utilixe their facility for this event.
Due to limitied space, we can only allow the Knee High children to bring an adult to the party. All others must be dropped off and picked up.
You may also turn in your uniform items (shell & skirt) at that time to avoid drop off on Monday, Novermber 17th as well.
We are also asking parents to donate cupcakes for this event. If you are interested in doing so, or have any questions regarding this event, please contact Margie Fluke at 610-845-3301.

Uniform Hand-In on November 17th
November 17 will be uniform hand ins at the Optimist Shed located at the corner of Englesville and Madison Roads in Boyertown from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
You may also bring your uniforms to the End of Season Party if you would like.
**If you find that you are unable to attend, please let Julie, Stephanie or Melissa know as soon as possible to make alternate arrangements**

Special Game on 11/29
Although our Midgets football team will be participating in this special game, our cheerleaders will not be in attendance.

| The Boyertown Optimists' youth cheerleading program is a developmental program
that promotes skill development and enhancement, leadership, and teambuilding
opportunities in a fun, healthy, and safe environment.
The cheerleading program supports the Club's football program at most football
games throughout the season, which runs from early July through early November
for practices and early September through mid-November for games and
exhibitions. Cheerleaders support the football program in terms of sideline
chants and cheers throughout the game, and with half-time routines.
Because this program is a developmental program, prior experience is not
necessary. The Club does not believe in "cutting" cheerleaders from the
program. The Club may cut girls from the program who do not register by the
specified registration deadline, the Club will not cut girls from the program
based upon ability.
Youths entering grades two, three, four, five, or six in the fall of the upcoming academic year who reside within or attend a school within the boundaries of the Boyertown Area School District are encouraged to particpate in the program. Youths entering seventh grade may participate in the program as well once they have tried out for one of the two Boyertown junior high schools. Youths may not cheer on both the Optimist squads and either of the junior high squads at the same time.
